Graphic designer, Susanna Ronner, is pretty particular about details, and wanted to make sure that when printing the new brochure for my upcoming show, that I was at the printers for a press check. The printer, Fort Orange Press is a great outfit. First, Tom White showed me around… they still have late 19th century equipment… some standing presses for books were so beautiful, I could have put them in my car that day. Tom’s passion is for repairing fishing rods and reels, but he’s sensative to the beauty of the printing equipment. The press check went well, with a few adjustments to the piece, and I was on my way. The piece is beautiful; I really couldn’t be more happy. The post cards came today, so I’ve got a big project of addressing envelopes ahead.
